Over the
years Kenyans have been bitterly shrieking about pastors robbing them off their
money in the so called ‘Panda Mbegu’. ‘These men of god’ have over the years
hypnotized Kenyans that in order to receive a miracle or blessing you must earn
it and the only way you can earn it is by first giving then you receive. Two
very powerful ‘preachers’ should be held responsible for this Panda Mbegu
scheme Pastor Pius Muiru who is the founder of Maximum Miracle Center and The
so called Bishop Margret Wanjiru of Jesus is Alive ministries.
‘Kuna Nuru
Gizani’ do those words ring any bells to you? The signature maker of this words
made his debut to Kenyan church ministry in the late 90’s. Having brought a
message of hope and prosperity to a society that had widely been suppressed by
a dictating government Pastor Pius Muiru was widely accepted. He also claimed
to perform miracles and heal the sick. Miracles which had so much to question.
Pius Muiru
saw a society full of grief, hopelessness, unemployment, poverty and its concomitant social problems. With this he came with a
message of hope and revival he made the people believe that he could take away
their problems and to prove and clarify his point he went ahead and performed
miracles.
PIUS MUIRU |
Many were
misguided and fell by the wayside of his preaching. And with that came a large
multitude flocking at his national wide crusades at the dawn of the new century
a scenario that continues to pan out to date. He made people believe that the
much you give you will receive equally more and poor Kenyans ran and gave all
that they had, took loans so that they would receive Muiru’s potion and others
even sold their possession to fulfill the ‘man of God’s’ teaching. Over his
nationwide crusades he accumulated millions if not billions from poor Kenyans
who desperately needed a blessing or miracle in their lives. He even introduced
the Maximum melodies who entertained people in his crusades with dances and
songs to attract and pull even those who were not believers to come to his
crusade and add a few bucks to his pocket.
Then came
Margret Wanjiru. Embraced for being a motherly figure and her benign story as
she grew up, Margret was able to lure thousands of women and men to join her Jesus
is Alive ministries that was facade masked with a completely sole purpose to
make money. Every Sunday she would bring a message of hope by sharing her story
and calling upon people to trust and try God by giving to him and they would
receive much more.
MARGRET WANJIRU |
Wanjiru had
very little regard for the poor In fact during offering she gave envelopes that
the least amount that could be given was 100 shillings. She wore the skin of a
sheep by masquerading to have a compassionate heart to help the poor by
establishing a charity kit all this was in the name of making money. Wanjiru
has all over the years made women believe that she cares about them, wants to
help and empower them and elevate them to heights that they would not imagine
but her sole purpose is to make money. Wanjiru is a hypocrite she even stood in
front of the church and denied the father to her children just because he was
not up to her class and seemed to tarnish her name as a Bishop.
The crusade
and preaching of both Margret Wanjiru and Pius Muiru has eroded and reduced Christianity
and the church to a savings account. Like a savings account where you save your
money and collect it after sometime with interest, the church has been depicted
in the same way. They gave way to other preachers to start churches and run
them in the pillar of giving as much as possible if they want anything in
return. Their spiritual content is very little if there is any at all compared to
preachers such as T.D Jakes and other preachers. Recently Margret Wanjiru
lashed at David Awour with heavy words after he claimed that she was a false
preacher. Is that the example she is giving to her ‘flock’ on how to react to
critics? We also saw her on our screens recently harshly criticizing the government
for disallowing the preachers from displaying their preaching’s of panda mbegu on
t.v’s threatening to persuade their followers from voting them in clearly they
have turned the church institution business conglomerate.
Pius Muiru and Margret Wanjiru should be judged for their atrocities here and the life after this.
