Thou shalt forgive thy neighbor! KOT has cited the eleventh
commandment to intervene on the
case of Larry Madowo and Cyprian Nyakundi! Nyaks/Madowo beef
took a different twist when
the former filed a lawsuit against the latter taking their
battle to a whole new ground.
Realizing Nyakundi was determined to ‘sink’
him, Madowo sought the services of renowned lawyer to represent him in court.
But Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) don’t want Madowo and Nyakundi to be fighting in the corridors
of justice. The war is much entertaining when it’s fought on social media, twitter, Facebook etc. It’s for this reason that
#NyakundiForgiveMadowo has been trending on Twitter. Concerned KOT wants to
entice Nyaks into giving up on the case he filed against the NTV news anchor.
But is Nyakundi ready to forgive Madowo? “Just
seen this Trending Topic #NyakundiForgiveMadowo but will not say anything
because this is a matter in court.” Nyaks responded to KOT’s
plea. So Madowo’s defence
team still has to put up a fight to win the case!
In December last year, controversial blogger Cyprian
Nyakundi filed a defamation suit against NTV’s
Larry Madowo after the latter published an article detailing how he (Nyakundi)
tried to extort Sh50 Million from Bidco Africa. Nyakundi said that he was
forced to move to court through his lawyer since Larry failed to heed to his
ultimatum to apologize in seven days.
“Gave
@LarryMadowo 7 days to apologize but he has refused. On Wednesday my Lawyer proceeds
to File Case. Time to prove what he said in court,” Nyakundi tweeted.
Flash forward to yesterday evening when Larry announced that
he had enlisted the services of top city lawyer Donald Kipkorir to represent him
in the suit against Nyakundi.
“One of Kenya’s finest lawyers Donald
Kipkorir and his esteemed firm KTK Advocates represent me in this frivolous
suit by an infamous blogger,”
he wrote on his Facebook
page.
Nyakundi’s
lawyer is an underdog compared to Donald Kipkorir, while the latter boasts of a
career spanning more than 24 years, Anne who is a lawyer at
Nderu Ngaruni & Co. Advocates,
started practicing law in 2015. Grab your popcorn and get
comfortable! This is going to be very interesting.
