Ralph Sanda Masai, better known by his stage name Cannibal, has
said that he is temporarily quitting music to kick off his political
career.
Last week, the Street Hustler hitmaker announced his candidature for Mombasa’s Mtopanga ward on an ODM ticket.
He told Xnyaundi desk that if he gets elected, he will push for the empowerment of the youth in the ward.
“For a long time, the youth have been poorly represented by the MCAs
in my ward. Some leaders are even corrupt. If elected, I’ll make sure
they benefit from my leadership. They have urged me to vie. I will fully
represent their welfare. I am from a humble background, so I understand
their issues best. Only the youth can liberate the youth,” said
Cannibal.
The Hip Hop star says because of his political interest, he will put music on the back burner so that he can concentrate on campaigning.
“I will temporarily quit music as I embark on campaigns; though music runs in my blood. I will officially start campaigning later this month (February),” he said.
The artist has also worked with Juma Nature In January when he released his latest hit Kidaluso
