After
a top Kenya blog exposed a scheme by some artistes to ‘finish him’ early this
week, in this exclusive, multiple-award winning gospel artiste Bahati is said
to have quit gospel
The young Kenyan musician who made his way to
Kenyan music at his teen life has been lately characterized with a social media
catfight on social media with his gospel ‘brethren’ Willy Paul now seems to have taken a new direction in his
carrier life. It was quite unclear what was happening early this week when
Bahati switched of his phone, twitter and Facebook accounts terminated and disappeared.
The young lad has been going up the ladder
since his debut into the music industry. He pulled a surprise when he first scooped
the male artist of the year in 2014 and wiped off big names that had been
nominated and that had dominated the music industry for years. He did not stop
at that he made a confirmation in 2015 that he was the people’s favorite male
artist of the year when he again scooped the award. This is where it all
started all manner of stories started circulating on social media on the
illegality of him scooping the award. Bahati has since remained calm and seen
to be able to handle the always growing pressure.

Early this week someone approached me and
told me to write on Bahati’s decision to quit gospel industry but I asked him
to give me prove but he couldn’t. He
went ahead and told me that he has been a close friend to Bahati since they
were young and that bahati had mentioned to him that he was really thinking of
letting go the gospel industry. He said
that Bahati had confirmed to him that he would leave the gospel industry as he
was facing so much opposition that was growing day in day out and had taken a
whole new dimension and claimed his poor soul.
The
source quoted what bahati had said to him. ‘I am quitting gospel for some time
since a lot is happening to me right now I have also terminated my Facebook and
twitter accounts to be off the limelight till when God gives me a new
revelation. But I will continue serving God in different ways though and am
sure I will pull through this difficult moment’ those were his word early this
week.
And
apparently he himself has confirmed that it is true he will be leaving gospel for some time until God directs him on what to do next...
